Tooth Whitening or Dental Bleaching
Tooth colour varies from person to person - just like skin and hair colour. There are a number of ways that teeth can be made to look whiter.
Over-the-counter kits
Over-the-counter kits sold in the UK are not recommended as they usually contain only a small concentration of hydrogen peroxide (the whitening product). The legal limit in the UK is 0.1% of hydrogen peroxide and effective bleaching products need to have about 3.6%. So home kits will not be able to lighten your teeth noticeably. Also, some contain mild acids and others are abrasive. This can cause ulcers and damage to the gums if the product is not used properly.
Deep Bleaching™ Before and After Pictures
Professional tooth bleaching
There are a number of treatment options available to whiten your teeth and these must be carried out under the care of a dentist. Your dentist will be happy to discuss the merits of each system with you.
We are delighted to be able to offer the latest Deep Bleaching™ treatment from the USA which provides maximum whitening and outstanding results.
Pre-Loaded Tray System £125
This system provides an entry level to professional tooth whitening. Upper and lower trays, pre-loaded with the bleaching gel, are worn for up to an hour a day for a 10 day period. See our online shop for more details....
Home Whitening System £250
Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth and the technician will make you customized bleaching trays. These trays will be filled with a bleaching gel and worn for either one hour or through the night (depending on the strength of gel selected) for an initial period of two weeks or until the desired colour change has been achieved. The customized trays maximize the success of this home whitening treatment as the gel is kept in close contact with all the tooth surfaces. Refill kits are available and the same trays can be used again. See our online shop for more details....
Power (Laser) Bleaching £450
Power bleaching is carried out in the surgery and usually takes an hour. Your dentist will put a special seal around your teeth to protect your gums. The bleaching gel is painted onto your teeth and then renewed every 15 minutes. This procedure can achieve a good degree of whitening in a short space of time. Some people may want to repeat the process at a later date or combine it with a home whitening system for maximum results.
Deep Bleaching™ £750
Recently arrived from the States, this is the ultimate whitening system! Addressing the limitations of the other systems, this treatment achieves outstanding results with the greatest colour change possible. The treatment takes two weeks and involves a combination of in-surgery and home whitening. More details....
