Deep Bleaching™
From experience we now know that there is no one-visit bleaching technique that makes teeth the whitest they can be. Research has shown that the use of special lights during in-surgery whitening is of no benefit, despite the claims of many manufacturers and dental companies. Despite having had some great results with traditional whitening techniques, we have been frustrated by the unpredictability of such methods.
Before and After Pictures
After attending a Bleaching Symposium at The World Aesthetic Congress we are now delighted to offer the most effective tooth whitening technique known today. Deep Bleaching™ is the ultimate way to whiten teeth and gets teeth significantly whiter than ever previously possible!
The Deep Bleaching™ Treatment
Deep Bleaching™ is a combination treatment involving up to 3 stages and takes place over a 2 week period. The length of the treatment depends on the initial colour of your teeth and the degree of whitening you wish to achieve. Deep Bleaching™ works by increasing the tooth's permeability to oxygen which breaks down stain molecules. Before treatment can commence you will need to attend for a consultation to assess your suitability for Deep Bleaching™. If you wish to proceed we will take impressions so that we can have your specially designed bleaching trays made and we will also take photographs to record your pre-treatment tooth colour.
Stage 1
This is an initial in-surgery treatment to 'condition' your teeth. You will spend 40 minutes wearing your bleaching trays which will contain the conditioning gel. You will be able to sit up and read a magazine during this stage! Deep Bleaching™ also involves the use of a desensitising varnish which will make the entire process far more comfortable than traditional bleaching treatments. Do not expect a tremendous colour change from this first appointment.
Stage 2
Immediately following the conditioning visit you will wear your bleaching trays each night for 14 nights. The trays are very comfortable to wear and sleep in. They fit the teeth very well and have reservoirs on the outer edge of each tooth. These reservoirs will hold the bleaching gel you are given for this stage. You will also be given desensitizing swabs to use during this phase of the treatment.
Stage 3
After the 14th night of home bleaching, the final in-surgery Deep Bleaching™ session will be performed in the practice and will achieve significant additional whitening.
Your questions answered
- How white will my teeth get?
- Deep Bleaching™ can whiten teeth up to 16 shades. Results can vary but used correctly all teeth will whiten dramatically.
- Will they look too white?
- Natural teeth rarely look too white. Traditionally the American overly white smile has been due to the use of very white opaque porcelain.
- Is there any pain or discomfort?
- You may get some brief sensitivity but the desensitising swabs you will be given to take home work immediately.
- Is it safe?
- Deep Bleaching™ is completely safe and the materials used have been used in dentistry for many years.
- How long does it last?
- You should wear your bleaching trays while you sleep, at least one night every 2 months for protection against darkening. This will keep your teeth a very stable colour indefinitely.
Deep Bleaching™ Fees
The course of Deep Bleaching™ costs £750.00 This includes the bleaching trays, conditioning treatment (45 minute appointment), home bleaching gels, desensitising swabs and the final in-surgery appointment (1 hour). Before and after photographs will also be provided.
